Environmental Humanities in Cappadocia

In May 2024 I attended the 3rd International Environmental Humanities Conference at Kapadokya Üniversitesi in Ürgüp, Turkey, where I presented my research on the appraisal of epistemologies of the South through ecocriticism in EFL teaching under the title “Fostering the appraisal of Epistemologies of the South through the contribution of Ecological Humanities and Ecocoriticism in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in educational contexts of the industrialised North”. I am very grateful to the organisers, Serpil Oppermann and Sinan Akıllı, the keynote speaker Serenella Iovino and the many participants with whom I was able to talk.
